Endoscopic Spine Surgery
A spinal endoscope allows the surgeon to decompress spinal nerve roots under direct visualization through a one half inch incision using conscious sedation. The small size of the endoscope allows the surgeon to treat pinched nerves in patients that previously were felt not to be surgical candidates. In many patients, surgical treatment can be performed with the spinal endoscope and prevent the need for more extensive fusion surgery that requires the surgeon to use metal screws, rods, and plates.
Neuromodulation has been shown to provide unique life altering therapies to patients with certain brain and pain disorders. The delivery of a small electrical impulse to certain parts of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves has been shown to alter the neuronal pathways resulting in improvement in disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Essential tremor, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, and failed back surgery.

Laser Brain & Spine Surgery
Specific types of intracranial tumors and related conditions such as radiation necrosis have been to shown to be successfully treated using the tissue ablation capabilities of laser energy. Visualase is a tool that allows the neurosurgeon to deliver this capabilities to patients with selected pathology.
